Samantha Smith
​President & Founder

Founder Samantha Smith, since creating the non-profit as her High School Senior Project, has continued to oversee the program with the help of her Board of Directors. She graduated from Vassar College in 2014, with a major in Media Studies and minors in French and Music. At Vassar she was a member of the Vassar Women's Chorus, the Jazz ensemble, and was co-pitch for the Vassar Devils a cappella group. In 2015 Samantha opened Ashinaga’s office in Dakar, Senegal and served as Executive Director of Ashinaga Senegal where she established an educational and support facility for orphans, as well as working with orphans from several other African countries to support them in achieving entry to top universities in the USA and other countries.  She has most recently moved to France where she will act as the Executive Director of Ashinaga France. She has taken young Ugandan students on fundraising performance tours in Japan, New York’s Lincoln Center, and Washington DC. As “Sam Avalon”, she is a professional singer-songwriter, and released her debut album in June 2014 as her Senior Thesis at Vassar College. Samantha continues to act as President of YSOC, and attends regular meetings with her Music Instructors and Board of Directors, via Zoom.

Lauren Allen
Vice President

Lauren is a Graphic Artist of 25+ years, originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She and her husband, Mike, have resided in Southern California for much of their marriage. They also lived in Maui, Hawaii, before settling here to raise their two daughters, Bailey and Brooke. Both girls were active members of YSOC. Lauren and her family have been involved with YSOC since its inception.

​Holly Smith
Treasurer & Secretary 

Holly Smith is a native resident of Newport Beach. Her travels have taken her around the world where she worked as a private chef aboard yachts in the Caribbean, Europe  and Asia. Holly is an avid theater and concert goer with a love for the arts  which has led her to volunteer for several arts organizations as well as many non-profits in the community. Holly has served on the board of the Newport Beach Children's Theater Company, as well as both PTA and Foundation at her children's elementary schools. Holly supports several philanthropic organizations in the Orange County area such as PADRE at CHOC Hospital , Relay for Life, Newport Beach Sister City Association, and the Roosters Organization. Holly owns her own business, Avalon Wine Tours, with her husband, Peter; a wine tour company operating high-end tours worldwide. She also runs the OC Wine School which specializes in wine “edutainment” for private and corporate events. Holly is a proud supporter of YSOC as she feels that giving back to the community is an important part of everyday life.

Eoin Kreditor
Board Member

Eoin L. Kreditor was born in Dublin, Ireland. Eoin and his family returned to the United States in 1966 moving to Southern California and initially settled in the Hollywood Hills and then San Marino. Eoin continued his education in Southern California attending the University of Southern California and graduating with a BA, with honors, 1987, and graduating from the University of Southern California law school. Eoin is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and has lectured on a variety of topics over the years to various sections. He sits on the Board of Directors of: (i) the Orange County Constitutional Rights Foundation (since 1995, Past President), (ii) Orange County School of the Arts Foundation (since 2005), and (iii) Young Singers of Orange County (since 2013). In addition, Eoin is a member of Childhelp golf tournament committee, a non-profit serving abused children, and has helped raise millions of dollars in support.
Eoin is also active in other honorary organizations including USC Law School’s Law Leadership Society and USC Skull & Dagger Society, as well as enjoying memberships at Shady Canyon Country Club and the California Club. Admitted since 1990 to practice law in the State Courts of California and all Federal Courts, Eoin has spent the past 20 plus years representing clients in the housing, development, manufacturing, telecommunications and banking industries. Eoin is co-managing Partner of FitzGerald Yap Kreditor LLP, in Irvine, California, providing corporate, securities, real estate, litigation, trust/estate planning and immigration legal services. Eoin is also co-author of Mums the Word: Why Saying Too Much May Invalidate a Contract, 27(2) California Litigation 2, 2-8 (2014).
Eoin and his wife, Tina, reside in Irvine, California since 1998 raising their two children. They both enjoy traveling, reading, the arts and time spent with family and friends.

Kade McCoy
Board Member

Kade is a graduate of Lewis & Clark College with a BA in Rhetoric and Media Studies. Kade currently lives in Irvine and works for ServiceTitan, where he is an Associate Implementation Manager for the FinTech team. Outside of work, Kade is a 5th generation board member of the Woodard Family Foundation, which has provided place-based philanthropic giving to the community of Cottage Grove, Oregon since 1952. At a young age, Kade discovered a love of music through his father, and plays the bass and guitar. In his free time, Kade enjoys golfing, spending time with family and friends, and adventuring with his dog Cedar. ​
